The Human-Hound Experience is a collaborative learning platform for those of us who would like to expand our awareness about how our hounds make sense of the world.
My work is at the intersection of human-hound perception & communication. I design workshops using descriptive, empirical and creative thinking embellished with key points, video’s, illustrations & stories. My role is to decode the overwhelming amount of information you are faced with and present this to you as accessible & palatable bite sized sessions. That’s the one and only bite you will ever welcome!
My background as an educationalist, researcher & observational film maker are harmoniously intertwined with my canine experience and qualifications in scenting, body language & enrichment. This has ignited a burning passion to share the unseen and often misunderstood language of our most faithful companions.
My journey into the Human-Hound Experience began with a major shock-realisation! As I delved into the captivating world of the canine, it dawned on me how little I really knew about Jessie, my hound companion and about my past hounds. In fact, all hounds!
For someone who has always prided herself as somewhat of a dog whisperer, that was a major wakeup call! I became conscious of the fact that most of my interpretations around canines were based on speculation.
So, to make amends for my past misdeeds, I decided to put my burning curiosity, expanding knowledge, skills and personality to good use by teaching us what we know we don’t know.
Let’s cast away our preconceived projections and assumptions and show up as Hero Humans for our Hounds!
