Have you ever marveled at your hound’s incredible nose and its abilities? This workshop explores how your hound “sees” through scent, experiences the world via their nose, and how you can nurture this essential & natural behavior.
This workshop is a 5-part package including an initial 1-hour consultation, home practice, feedback and take-away information. Each 2-hour session is scheduled according to your own availability and progress.

The Nose Knows (2 hours)
Did you know that your hound uses their nose to gather information and to communicate with other dogs? We take a tour through your dog’s incredible olfactory abilities, and teach you how to appreciate their way of being.
Scent-Sational (2 hours)
This session looks at why it’s so vital for your hound to be allowed to sniff, how it boosts their confidence and how scenting with them can deepen your partnership. We delve into possible scent solutions for behaviours your hound may be struggling with, which will help you better advocate for their preferences and well being.
Channelling the Walk (2 hours)
Dogs are natural smellers, searchers, trackers and pursuers, so there’s no need for us to ‘teach’ them scenting. You can however learn to re-design how, when and where you both walk, and to incorporate fun scent activities which maximise their unique scenting experience.
Scent-Ertainment part 1 (2 hours)
This session guides you through a variety of elementary setups tailored for you and your hound’s lifestyle. Using easy practical activities you will learn how to encourage and support your dog’s instinctual drive in your own home environment.
Scent-Ertainment part 2 (2 hours)
Building on your hounds introduction to scent activities, we up the game with effective out & about scent challenges. These fun and rewarding ventures will release those feel-good chemicals in both your brains and boost your relationship beyond!
