How long will there be between my sessions?
You and your hound can take as long as you need, there’s zero pressure!
How much home practice do I need to do?
You’ll be given tasks at the end of each session which will guide you through your practice.
Will your workshops help me train my dog?
Effective communication between you and your hound is essential for training, as you will both better understand expectations and be more open to learning from each other.
Can I do a workshop if I have more than one dog? How much will this cost?
Please let me know your request and I will provide you with a cost.
Will I always be working 1-1 with you?
Yes, all sessions are custom made especially for you & your hound.
How do I book my 1-1?
Use the “Book Now” form and I’ll contact you to set an available date & time for your initial 1-hour consultation. We’ll arrange the following session date & time after each session is complete so that you and your hound can work according to your own pace & progress.
What if I need to change my scheduled session?
That’s no problem, just contact me to reschedule. Please give me as much notice as possible as this will allow me to offer your space to another HoundHero!
How do I pay?
Full payment is due at the time of booking your initial 1-hour consultation and is via bank transfer.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Every hound and every human is different. My role is to coach you to help you and your hound communicate better with each other. I share my knowledge & skills and it’s over to you to put this into practice. If you put the work in, you will see results!
Walks & Hikes
How many dogs do you walk at any one time?
I only do solo walks so that your hound gets that extra special attention. My hound, Jessie joins some of the walks and this is dependent on your consent. We can also team up with one of your hound’s friends if this is what you prefer or I can make “pairing” suggestions to improve your dog’s socialisation.
Can I specify a particular time for my dog to be walked?
Yes absolutely! Please give me as much notice as possible, so that your hound can secure their preferred time.
Where will my dog be walked?
We can walk in your hounds’ favourite spots as well as make suggestions in order to provide variety.
My dog is nervous around other dogs, will you be able to walk?
Yes. We can discuss and assess your hound’s particular needs at our meet & greet.
Do I need to be at home when you collect or drop off my dog?
No, if you’re happy for me to hold keys I can pick up & drop off your dog.
What happens in an emergency?
I’ll call you immediately to discuss the situation. If I’m unable to get hold of you and urgent veterinary attention is required, I’ll take your hound to your veterinary practice or to the nearest vet depending on the circumstances.
Must I book recurring set walks or can I just book occasional walks?
I am very flexible which means you can book as many or as few walks and at any time.
Can we meet before the first walk?
Yes, I always insist on a walking meet & greet with both you & your hound to discuss your requirements and to learn your particular cues.
Will I be charged if I cancel a walk at short notice?
No, I understand if your plans change or if your hound is not well enough for a walk that day. Life happens!
Do I have to pay for walks upfront?
No, I’ll send you an invoice at the end of the month.
